What is PDF metadata?
PDF metadata is descriptive information stored with a document, such as title, author, subject, keywords, the software that created the file and timestamps. Metadata can be useful for document management, but it can also reveal information you did not intend to share.

Can this tell me who really created a PDF?
It can show an Author or Creator field if one exists, but metadata can be missing, edited or inaccurate and should not be treated as proof of authorship.
Why are some fields blank?
The PDF may not contain those fields, or the values may be stored in a different metadata structure.
Does removing metadata change the document?
